Midwest Live is the start for many AAU teams's altered summer season. Here is a preview of 8 of the top players this weekend in Council Bluffs.

Sean Pedulla - Team Buddy Buckets (OK) 17U

Pedulla has heated up this summer, leading his team to the BTR Tournament championship. He dropped 31 against Drive Nation EYBL, and now has 10 Division 1 offers including Virginia Tech and Minnesota. He's a quick ball handler who can hit from anywhere on the court.

Hunter Sallis - OSA Crusaders 17U Adidas

Sallis is the highest ranked prospect to ever come from Nebraska. He's a pure athlete who's height and length is near impossible to guard. His pull-up jumper is virtually automatic, and his drive-and-finish ability is one of the best in the state. He has 29 Division 1 offers, and you can expect that number to rise after this summer.

Emarion Ellis - Iowa Barnstormers Gold 17U

Ellis is great at attacking the rim and finishing through contact, and his drive-and-kick game is improving rapidly. He has a good handle of the ball and uses it well. He only holds 3 Division 1 offers, but he is one of the biggest stock risers as of recent. He averaged 18 points and 8 rebounds for Davenport Central (IA) last year, and has only gotten better since the winter.

Baye Fall - Colorado Hawks 17U

Baye is in the class of 2023, playing up 2 grade levels. ESPN has him listed as the 6th best player in the 2023 class. He has offers from Georgia, Kansas, Georgetown, and Minnesota. He averaged 19 points, 11 rebounds, and 4 blocks during his high school season at Lutheran High School (CO). Standing at 6'11 and 217 pounds, he should be a force down low this weekend.

Assane Diop - Colorado Hawks 16U

Standing at 6'10, Diop is almost always in perfect position to grab a rebound. In fact, he averaged 19 rebounds a game along with 16 points and 8 assists for Belleview Christian High School (CO). He's a part of the Class of 2023, playing up against mostly 2022s.

Payton Sandorf - Kingdom Hoops 17U

Sandorf has a good combonation of size and shooting; standing at 6'8 and averaging near 20 points a game at 55% shooting for Waukee (IA) last year. He's a Top-150 player in the nation and a 3-Star prospect with offers from Iowa, Minnesota, and others.

Dalante Shannon - Team Buddy Buckets (OK) 17U

Shannon uses his elite athleticism to wreak havoc on defense, whether its quick hands getting steals, or good lateral quickness to lock up and stay in front of the ball, Shannon gets it done. He can attack the rim well and should be getting more D1 looks with a strong start to summer.

Tucker Devries - OSA Crusaders 17U Adidas

Devries is one of the best shooters in the midwest. He averaged near 22 points per game on 55% from the field and 48% from 3 for Waukee (IA). His matchup against high school teammate Payton Sandorf and Kingdom Hoops 17U should be one of the best for the weekend. Last year the 2 teams met in the championship of the River Cities Tipoff, with OSA taking a 72-59 win.
