College coaches were back on the baseline for the 1st time since 2019 at Midwest Live in Council Bluffs. Here’s a recap of a few games that took place.
OSA National 17U Chavis 62, SW Iowa Impact 17U White 40
OSA Chavis used some good 1st half defense to build a lead, and maintained that defense in the 2nd half the complete the 22-point weekend-opening win. Kevin Winscot (Below) led the way with 23 points for OSA.

Mokan Elite 15U EYBL 48 Lincoln Supreme 16U National 1 45
Supreme held a lead for the majority of the game, but Mokan battled back late, and a Zaxton King (#23 Below) layup with under 30 seconds to go gave Mokan the lead, which they sealed with free throws. Cougar Konzem (#20 below) lead Supreme with 11, and Jackson Kessler (Below, wearing headband) added 8.
Mokan Elite 17U EYBL 64, Lincoln Supreme 17U National 1 45
With many college coaches on the baseline, headlined by Purdue’s Matt Painter and Michigan’s Juwan Howard, Supreme kept up with Mokan for the 1st half, but Mokan’s length denied Supreme any baskets around the rim in the 2nd half. Tarris Reed (#33 Below) led all scorers with 14, Felix Okpara (#4 Below) added 12, Damien Mayo Jr and Kayden Fish (#11 White Below) chipped in 10 each. Mason Strong (#11 Black Below) led Supreme with 11, while Jaxon Weyand, Jack Hastrieter, Brady Christiansen, and Quinn Johnson each had 6.
Mokan Elite 15U EYBL 76, Buddy Buckets KS 2023 59
Mokan got to the rim well in the 1st half, but Buddy Buckets was there to block many of the Mokan layup attempts. The 2nd half was a different story, as Mokan converted on their rim attacks to boost them to a 17-point win to go 2-0 on the day. Tyrique Brooks led Mokan with 17 points on 7/9 shooting, Aaron Rowe (#0 Below) added 15, and Bryson Nash (#3 Below) added 11 for Mokan. Eli Shetlar (#10 Below) led Buddy Buckets with 17 and Will Anciaux added 12.
